Local Review: Thanks Emily Nixon

Five women set off on a trek, organised by their Boss, to see how they get through it together with no problems.
A test of endurance in the bush and on the mountains. Four days endurance in rough and demanding terrain, with no problems.  Armed only with small tents and boil in the bag foods, plus a small gas canister stove to cook it on and sleeping bags to sleep in on the ground, which does not encourage teamwork. It’s not long before bygone grudges arise and arguments begin to simmer, when their phones are out of range the frustration grows, then it rains and they take wrong turn, ending up by a fast moving river.
They stop to get their bearings and one of them reaches into her backpack for a cigarette, cold wet and hungry pulling out camping gear in an effort to find them, she spills half the contents into the river.  They get caught in some tree root, she jumps in to grab them but is pulled by the current, gone is the cooking stove and any food they have and everyone is soaking wet pulling her out. Cold wet and hungry they sort through what’s left in the remaining  backpacks, 3 flimsy tents, phones with no reception and less than a litre of water, plus 6 muesli bars. This is the last straw and they settle down for a uncomfortable night, little do they know, worse is to come, much worse.
